Tour Itinerary
This tour is designed for arrivals from the Greek Islands. Departing Kusadasi, visit the Roman ruins of Ephesus, the natural calcium terraces of Pammukale, the lakeside village of Koycegiz before jumping aboard a Turkish gulet for some mediterranean sungazing. Go inland to explore Cappadocian caves & the cultural offerings of Istanbul
Day 1 - Arrival Day: Welcome to Kusadasi
Today is an arrival day, so without further ado…welcome to Turkey! Today, we meet our guide and fellow traveling companions.
Day 2 - Ephesus Tour (B)
Guided tour of one of the best-preserved ruins in Turkey, Ephesus. Visit the Grand Theatre, Celcus Library as well as the House of the Virgin Mary and Cave of the Seven Sleepers.
Day 3 - Kusadasi to Koycegiz via Pamukkale (B + D)
Drive east to calcium terraces of Pamukkale for guided tour of Hierapolis. This afternoon, drive to Koycegiz for night stop.
Day 4 - Sailing the Med! (B + L + D)
This morning we set sail and launch ourselves into some of the clearest waters in the world. Our hardest decision today will be whether we swim, snorkel, ski, or just soak up the rays on deck.
Day 5 - Sailing the Med! (B + L + D)
We continue sailing today without a worry in the world.
Day 6 - Sailing the Med to Fethiye (B + L)
Yet another full day sailing the Mediterranean! Late afternoon we arrive in the port town of Fethiye where we check-in to our hotel.
Day 7 - Fethiye to Antalya via Saklikent Gorge (B + L)
Trek through Saklikent canyon and/or tube down the rapids. This afternoon, drive to coastal city of Antalya.
Day 8 - Antalya to Cappadocia via Konya (B + D)
Buckle your seat belts, as we drive across the Anatolian plain to Konya. Along the way to Cappadocia we visit the caravanseray at Sultanhani.
Day 9 - Cappadocia Tour (B)
This morning we marvel at the surreal landscape that is Cappadocia.We will visit the Goreme open-air museum, Zelve, Avanos Pottery Village and Uchisar Castle. This evening we have the option of attending a traditional Turkish folklore night.
Day 10 - Cappadocia Tour (B)
After breakfast we have another full day of touring this amazing region visiting an underground city, the old Greek village of Mustafa Pasa and Pigeon Valley. We return to our Hotel late afternoon.
Day 11 - Cappadocia to Istanbul via Ankara(B)
Drive to the nation's capital in Ankara. We visit Ataturk's Mausoleum and Ancient Civilisations museum. This afternoon, drive back to Istanbul.
Day 12 - Tour Finishes (B)
Tour finishes after breakfast.
Tour Includes:
* 11 breakfasts, 4 lunches and 4 dinners
* Professional English speaking guide and guided tours of Ephesus, Pamukkale/Hierapolis and Cappadocia
* 3 full days of sailing on the Mediterranean on-board a Gulet
