for one of the biggest motor racing events of the year!! Fez Travel
is taking bookings now for the first 2005 Formula 1 Grand Prix in
fabulous Istanbul.
The brand new 5.3 km circuit, designed by Herman Tilke, is reckoned
to be one of the most challenging tracks of the 2005 season with
some 6 right hand turns, 8 left hand turns and a mixture of gradients.
The main grandstand has a capacity for 30,000 people.
Istanbul is truly one of the most glorious cities in the world,
embracing two continents, it is the former capital of three successive
empires - Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman. You cannot visit Istanbul
(often still called Constantinople) without seeing at least some
of its cultural heritage.

Welcome to Istanbul. You will be met at the Ataturk Airport and
transferred to your hotel which is located in the heart of Sultanahmet,
the old city.
Friday 19 August 2005
We will take you for an escorted tour of the city of constantinople
visiting the Blue Mosque , the Aya Sofya , Topkapi Palace and Hipodrome.
We take a afternoon cruise on the Bosphorous passing by ancient
forts and palaces. Today we visit a carpet factory and learn how
Turkish carpets are made by hand, what determines their value and
the historical and cultural context in which this folk art has blossomed.
Then leather goods display. Turkey produces some of the finest leather
goods in the world and many are made here before branding in Italy.
Tonight, don't miss the optional traditional Turkish folklore evening!

Today we have an early start in order to get to the track for practice
at 09:00. You will have the chance to see the racetrack with the
cars getting ready for the big day and watch practice and later
the preliminary qualifying laps.
Sunday 21 August 2005
An early breakfast today and then transport to the circuit to take
your place at the track to watch the final qualifying and then the
first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix to run in Istanbul.
Monday 22 August 2005
Will be transferred to Ataturk Airport for your return flight after
a memorable holiday.
