Antalya - Konya - Cappadocia - Hatay - Damascus - Anamur - Antalya

1. Day   

Arrival to Antalya Airport, transfer to hotel. Overnight in Antalya.

2. Day   

Early departure to Cappadocia via Konya. Konya, the capital of the Seljuk Empire, but known worldwide as the home of the sect of the Whirling Dervishes. Chanting of poetry, rhythmic rotation, and incessant music create a euphoria that, according to the faithful, induces a feeling of soaring, of ecstasy, of mystical flight. Visit to the Mausoleum of Mevlana.Descend 8 stories beneath the surface of the earth to explore the underground city Kaymaklı where approximately 15, 000 early Christians, fleeing persecution, lived for months at a time undetected. The city was sub-divided into separate sections for better defense purposes with comfortable living rooms, wine cellars, meeting halls and churches. Optional Turkish night with folkloric dances and performance of the mystic whirling dervishes in a rock carved lounge. (At additional cost) Overnight in Urgup-Cappadocia.

3. Day   

Explore one of the oldest settlements of the region -- Goreme. The chimney-like, rock formations that spread throughout Cappadocia's rugged landscape are as fantastic as man's accomplishments within its stone. Visit the Byzantine churches of Goreme carved into the cliffs and caves with colorful frescoes dating to the 7th century. Continue your exploration of this intriguing region with a visit to the hidden, monastic valley of Pasabagi, which has a large number of carved rock houses and churches. Stroll through the red valley of Dervent and a photo stop at the ancient natural citadel of Uchisar. During the tour visit onyx stone workshops. Continue to Adana via Acigol break near to lake. Before Hatay visiting St Pierre Church. Overnight at Hatay.

4. Day   

Departure from Hatay at 04:00 am. Meet and assist with our Syrian guide at Bab-Al-Hawa Syrian borders at 06:00 a.m. End of visa formalities and departure for Damascus; stop at Hama to visit its Noria's; stop at Maaloula to visit St. Serges and St. Thekles churches dating to the 5th century. Continue to Damascus and arrival at 12:30 to Damascus. Visit to National museum till 14:30. Lunch break for 1 hour at old Damascus and visit to Omayyad Mosque, Kasr El-Azem palace and the old souks. Then visit to St. Ananias Church and St. Paul window. Overnight at Damascus.

5. Day   

Early departure to Aleppo. ( On the way optinally visit Palmyra ) leaving Damascus at 08:00 a.m. ( 210 km from Damascus) Arrival to Palmyra at 10:30 ( Optional Tour ) and start of visits; via recta with its tetrapilons and associated public buildings, Bel Temple, Deocletian's camp, temple of Baal Shamin, Necropolis and valley of the tombs and the museum. Then Continue to Aleppo ( 350 km ). Overnight at Aleppo.

6. Day   

After breakfast visiting the Citadel, The Old Hammam, Alshouna caravansary, Aleppo Omayyad mosque and the old covered bazaars. Free time for lunch.( 45 minutes ).Departure from Aleppo to Turkey. Overnight in Tasucu or Anamur.

7. Day   

Departure to Cennet Cehennem (Heaven and Hell) are two dolines, the Greek believed this to be the place where the giant Typhon lived, who was killed by Zeus, with the help of Pan and Hermes. Heaven is a huge pit 250m long, 110m wide, and between 60 and 70m deep. Cool air announces the cave entrance, which is also the place of a 5th century cave church, or better a cave chapel, which is ruined with only the lower meter of the walls remaining. Started under the Romans in the 3rd century it was made part of a defensive line by the Armenians. It has 36 towers and two large courts, containing a mosque, stables, baths and a spring, continue to Alanya ( optional 1 hour boat tour to see famous 3 caves under the Alanya castle and Cleopatra beach ) overnight in Alanya.

8. Day   

Transfer to Antalya airport for departure flight.
